ABOUT JEFF JAPERS
Award winning comedian Jeff Japers originated from Glossop in the North of England, and moved to Pontypridd in South Wales in 1992. He's been writing comedy songs for over 20 years, performing them on the Welsh music scene to great acclaim, both with his band Gaudy Orde and as a solo artist.
In 2015 he brought his songs to the comedy circuit and by 2016 got to the finals of the Welsh Unsigned Stand-up Awards (WUSA). Since then he has become a regular headliner on the South Wales scene providing an entertaining musical performance of inoffensive daftness.
''A musical comedy genius / idiot."

MORE ABOUT THE ACT
Jeff performs songs about his love for lemonade and the missing junction on the M4 amongst many others, in a variety of settings:
Jeff's stand up set is a cabaret-style performance using songs, jokes and a slideshow to present Jeff's whimsical view of the world.
'Jeff Japers Musical Slideshow Spectacular’ is a longer show suited to festivals incorporating a slideshow and songs using ukulele, keyboards and daft behaviour suited to all ages. He has performed at the Green Man Festival, Uke-A-Bay Festival, Ukulele Festival Of Wales, Cwmaman Music Festival, Velvet Coalmine Festival, Grand Northern Ukulele Festival and has more in the pipeline for this year.
'Jeff Japers Ukulele Fun Time Slide Show’
is the show Jeff performs for gigs on the
ukulele scene. It sees Jeff do some
fancy ukulele playing, performing some
of his favourite songs whilst triggering
slides with a foot pedal. A stripped down
show with just a uke is also possible.
In addition to his WUSA finals appearance at the Glee Club in Cardiff, Jeff's other achievements include;
- winning the Risa Worldwide Ukulele Video Competition 2007.
- performing to the First Minister of Wales at a ‘Size Of Wales’ charity event in the Wales Millennium Centre in 2011.
- winning the Away Resorts 'Star On Holiday' Grand Final in 2014.
The slide show element will work best indoors. Theatre style seating is always nicer to perform to but Jeff will make the most of any setting.
Jeff has public liability insurance for performance and PAT tested equipment. Certificates available on request.
Jeff has his own audio / visual equipment which is suitable for most small- to medium-sized venues. A line out (jack) from Jeff's amp can be sent to the desk if needed.
Also, if the venue has an in-house projector and screen it would be helpful to know in advance if it is available to use.
